Accredited hospitals in Turkey
On the 29 March 2002, MEMORAL Sisli hospital in Istanbul became the first medical institution in the country to fulfil the strict requirements to a Joint Commission International certification. Since then, more and more hospitals and clinics in Turkey applied for certification. As of Summer 2014, there are 49 JCI accredited medical organisations in Turkey, one of the largest numbers of any country worldwide.
